Abandoned Yogi

Do you recognize these scars?
The darkness lights them up from inside
Bright as cherry moonbeams
Craters and pock marks
Some self inflicted, many undeserved
These wounds, you feel them too
Since you carried them for me
Across the healing waters
I wear them now as a badge of honour
They have become my greatest gift
For an orphaned world.

Liminality

Hunt down your limitations
Go through them
Surrender them
Experience them
Put space around your beliefs
Move beyond personal thresholds
Breathe in new frontiers
Find inner spaciousness

Avatamsaka

I joined the crew
I found my tribe
I wear a patch
Over my I

Too much to do
And so little time
Shape these words
To make them shine

I’m a one in ten
Been gone too long
Presence of mind
Will keep me strong

The wounds I claim
Have shaped my life
I’ve found my soul
She’s now my wife

The sun and moon
And now the stars
Have carried my burden
And all my scars

I’ve cried these tears
They’ve set me free
This broken heart
Now yours to see

The darkness is there
For the light to see
Spirals and galaxies
Have awakened me

The universe is there
Within you and I
Listen to your soul
It will never lie
